Dec 25, 2015 OK, I have solved the subfolder sync issue. Here is how I configured it so that it works. ( using qsync 3.0.0 and qts 4.3.2) 1) create the subfolder and location. A) under control panel go to privileges select shared folder b) create share folder 1) name folder 2) folder location select select manual path (can be as many sub folders as you like) 3) click create 2) check shared folder you. Before creating a pool, determine the level of required redundancy, how many disks will be added, and if any data exists on those disks. Creating a pool overwrites disk data, so save any required data to different media before adding disks to a pool. Go to Storage Pools and click ADD.
Hey Guys,I've been struggling to get my QNAP working efficiently for managing me and my family member's files. Here's the situation:
Synctwofolders 2 1 9 – Syncs Two User Specified Folders With One
- I have 1 sheared folder for the entire family named say Surname
- Inside Surname, I have folders for each individual family member
- Inside my folder, I have multiple other subfolders
Synctwofolders 2 1 9 – Syncs Two User Specified Folders With Three
At the moment, Qsync only allows me to sync the entire sheared Surname folder to my personal client device (a 256GB Surface Pro 2 with 200GB MicroSD card), which I don't want and my client computer definitely can't contain all that data (over 560GB at this moment). Instead, I want Qsync to give me the option to sync user-specified sub-folders of the sheared Surname folder. This will make managing files on my QNAP a whole lot more efficient and since it's built into Qsync, it'll make life easier when I'm ready to truly mobile with myQNAPCloud service.
